This was Sarah Polley’s tweet when Alice Munro won the Nobel prize:
“Oh it is a lovely thing when people who don’t seek recognition get it anyway” Polley has made Munro’s
“The Bear Came Over the Mountain,” into the well-received film “Away from Her.”
The second film adaptation of Munro’s work was “Hateship Loveship,” adapted by Mark Poirier from the title story in Ms. Munro’s 2001 collection, “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage.”

Because she won the Nobel Prize For Literature.
Because I want to do Post Doctoral research on her.
Because she is eighty two years old and on top of her art and I don’t want her to retire. Not yet
