This Is No Country For Young Women

A year ago a young Physiotherapy student was gang raped on a moving

bus in South Delhi. I am double her age now but I still fear as  night descends over the city.

How do you distinguish the potential rapists from ordinary men? I try to shake the thought off.

This road leads to paranoia and to a conscious withdrawal from public places for personal safety.

The more I withdraw, the less safe the city becomes for younger women.

So its an act of a holy crusade to keep moving forward- to remember is there are men who delight in torturing

and mutilating women, there are also those who fight to bring the torturers to justice.http://www.firstpost.com/india/i-still-wonder-we-boarded-that-bus-delhi-gangrape-victims-friend-1288287.html

Empathy is a Revolutionary Concept according to Steinham http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?288842

Change will come. It is inevitable. We need to just keep pressing forward.
